Carvel Hall, stamped Japan

I usually try to stop at the local Goodwill about once a week. I've found some great books there, and always check on knives. I've gotten a few knives there, including a Case kitchen knife, marked Chromium XX. I picked up a block set of Carvel Hall knives, stamped made in Japan. The block set came with a sharpening rod. They look to be in good condition. Any information on them?

I have probably this same set. My dad got it when I was a kid, or maybe not even born yet. I don't know much about them, but they sure do stand up over time! Mine have absolutely no rust, handles are perfectly in tact, and the edges seem to last forever.
