For my fiance's dad, I put together this set as a Christmas gift.

The Utility/Carver is a blank from Texas knife...as is the matching fork. Both are handled in red oak with copper pins. Finish is Tru Oil, left glossy.

The cutting board is out of a large piece of T&G flooring that my cousin had. Each piece was like 14" wide and about 1.25" thick. Some old stuff he recycled from an old house. I sized the board down to 16" x 11". Sanded to 1000g, and finished with multiple coats of Howard's Butcher Block finish (a mixture of carnuba wax, bees wax and mineral oil) along with several coats of straight mineral oil. There are routed recesses on each end for finger indentions.

All in all it made a very very nice set, and he was quite pleased with the gift :D

Thanks for looking and comments!
