Lets see some of the stuff you make with your knives. Be it spoons, chains, wood spirits, or sculptures that belong in museums. Doesn't have to be with a Fiddleback, but bonus points if it is.

Here's my project for today. Spoon roughed out with a Turley, then finished up with the Carver and Pinewood Forge Hook Knife. Still needs a lot of sanding, but my hands are tired.

A previous project, a spoontula from aspen from the back yard:

Wow!!! Those are beautiful! Great work Nathan.

Cool thread...

I need to get carving...

Those look great, very nice work. Here are a few I've worked on lately. I don't have a Carver yet but am hoping to change that soon. Most of these were done with my EDK. The slingshots I've been doing for a while but the spoons are a new undertaking.

Wow that is awesome work guys!!! I'm going to have to do alot better to post any pics hahaha. That carver is awesome!

I throw most stuff in the fire after I'm done with it, but I still have this one laying around for some reason:

It was the first thing I carved with the Spydie & was a great way to get a feel for the knife. I'll do another one soon to get more familiar with my new Fiddleback when it arrives

I've also wanted a good crooked knife for a while now, I'm gonna look in to that Pinewood Forge one.

C_Stahl, good work on those spoons and slingshots. I like the Spork, I'll have to make one of those.

schmittie, love seeing your work. I've got to tackle a Kuksa one of these days.

GB, nice net needle. The pinewood forge knife has been working well for me so far. I'd recommend them highly.

Awesome thread Nathan -- I'm looking into making a kuksa over winter break and will hopefully get a chance to post some pics! Great work to everyone who has posted thus far -- work has gotten in the way of hobbies as of late and time has been at a premium... but, with the temps dropping and good fall brews coming to market, I have no excuses to take some time out for a long overdue, back porch carving session (sans stitches this time!) :D

Man, what a neato thread. Thanks for posting this here guys.

Thanks Redbird. I still have a long way to go in my wood spirit carving technique. But the Carver's point really lends itself to that task.

testing a pic from Flickr. Photobucket is pissing me off.

Preston, thanks for the great additions to the thread. Nice carvings! And I like your woodworking bucket. Some good tools there.

I really like this thread. My Grandfather use to carve Cars out of wood for us to play with when I was young when we would see him. They were no Hot wheels but still played with them just the same and still have them.

Thurin, that wood spirit is great, been trying to do the same for a month and just looks like a stick.

Schmittie that Terassaur kept me up a couple of nights, should have jumped on it. Awesome kuksa for such a big scandi.

C_Stahl those are awesome spoons! If I could make those my Wife would be thrilled we need like 4 more.

Uncle_P that is a awesome bucket. Old 3finger Karda, an EDK, but what is the third knife you are carving with?
