Hi All,
I carry a Case 32087 everyday. It's in the yellow synthetic scales. Has case ever made this knife in other scales or colors in the pen knife? I have some in the jack version, but would really like some more in the pen.
Thanks!

I've seen vintage 087 pattern knives with red bone. I don't know about their current knives. You want to search for 62087 (bone covers) or 52087 (stag covers).

The mini-copperhead is pretty close, just a tad shorter in overall length and there's quite a selection in production.

Certainly the Mini Copperhead offers a fine choice of handles, but most CASE ones seem to be Wharncliffes rather than Clips I think.

RR do a very nice Mini Copperhead in Clip though.

The CASE Pen has been their Cinderella knife in my view, always neglected and I can't understand it as it is an excellent frame being single-spring. I much prefer it to the worshipped Peanut for instance  It's a pattern that cries out for some choice of bone for a change, CASE's Chestnut, Amber, Goldenrod, Canyon or many others would look really nice on this knife. Just recently, CASE have issued a new range of CV knives in Whiskey Bone, but once again (I wish I were wrong) the Pen is denied a new suit of clothes :thumbdn: Nothing wrong with Yellow Delrin of course and it's welcome that you get a choice of CV or stainless. However, a Knife Zealot cannot live by Yellow Delrin alone!:D

I think Case makes Mini Copperheads with clip and wharncliff blades. Here in a Wharnie.

I didn't realize they were rare. I did a quick search and found one with bone covers, SS blades and a boy scouts of America etch. It is "CA8025". I don't know if there are others.

They have made them with bone covers in the past. I have one.

It's the lower left in this pic:

The color in the pic is accurate, that is their green bone. 1988 by the tang stamp.

I like the yellow 32087; it's an excellent knife for the price. I would like to see other colors, and perhaps some smooth bone.

one personal regret i have is i never got around to buying a replacement for our late father's 1960s case red bone pen knife which i lost as a kid. he was very fond of that knife.

Here is a case pen I got in a bag o crap auction. Different pattern. Two pens on a single spring. Eisenhower pattern?
