Sorry for the bad photo, taken off the computer at an auction site. I acquired this last night for what I think is a very reasonable bid. (pickup in a couple of days)
I have no other information about this knife and was hoping someone can give me a range of when it was made.
I did a photo search but found nothing?

Sorry but I’ve never seen a Case bowie knife that looked like that and the sheath is for a Marbles Jungle bowie (it’s marked Marbles on it, did you miss that?).

I will be more respectful. I believe the knife pictured is in fact not made by Case and the sheath is definitely a recently made Marbles outdoors branded sheath. I haven't seen a Case knife like this and I hope you didn't spend too much. If you like the knife and didn't pay an arm and a leg for it than it should be no big deal. If you paid a Case brand price for it perhaps you can get a refund. In the future you can post a photo here and ask if the knife is genuine before you purchase it, however you can't ask values without a paid membership. I hope this helps.

I think so too, but as I said I didn't pay big $$$ for it so I'll throw it into my camping gear!! I do know there is a logo like this on the Case Bowie Knives, except the Case Knives knives have the words tested XX under the swoop of the "C"

No, I knew it was a Marbles sheath. I didn't recognize the knife either but the bids were very low so I thought I would throw a bid out. Guess what, now I own it!!!

Fake, they were around for a few years about 10-15 years back. Sold mainly through Ebay, and flea markets. Also big outside of the US.

Same people were probably involved it the production of these fake Bucks -

There was also a fake Randall model that I can't find a picture of now.

Heck, may as well get whatever use you can out of it! You might find that it’s your new favorite for hacking brush or clearing branches but it think you’re gonna have a hard time field dressing a deer with it if you try! If you get it in and it’s not what you want, you can always gift it to someone who needs a cheaper knife to learn with and have fun.
