I have a Case 5347 Sh Sp SSP stockman for sale. This knife was made in 1976 as part of Case's limited release stag set for that year. This is the "old style" 47 stockman pattern with the following features:
This knife is made the traditional way with TWO backsprings. Modern versions of the 47 stockman have three blacksprings and much thinner blade stock. Case has not made the 47 stockman pattern with two springs sine the early 1990's, and it has not been made in stag in many years.
I believe that the blade steel on this knife is 440C; I am not certain of this but I think that 440C was the stainless formulation that Case was using at the time. This knife is near mint, never sharpened but may have been carried a bit. There is a minor crack at the main pin as shown in the pics but it is tight. This knife has a book value of from $150 to $175; due to the crack I ma selling it at a low price. It would make a great user at a lower price than a typical new Case stag handled knife.
$75 shipped, insurance would be $2.25 additional at your request.
