Hey guys.
I got this Case Autumn, Barnboard jigged bone Tiny Toothpick, and it's a really neat little knife. A hair larger then the Peanut, at 3 inches, and it has two blades, being seconded by a pen blade. I'll put up pictures tomorrow. I've never owned a toothpick of any kind, but I have to say, I like the long, thing, curved main blade. A very good slicer. This one, because it is a two layer knife, has the same, comfortable, boxy frame as the Peanut, so holding it is no problem.
Anyone else carry one of these exotic looking little guys?

I've seen them, and wondered about how they would work out as an edc.

They seem a pointy little knife, and that needle pointed curved blade has a bit of a wicked look, like maybe a peanut's evil cousin from the other side of the tracks. :D

Looking forward to a good report on it.

Carl.

Don't get carried away cutting up corn stalks with it when you out to be using a machete and a chopping block. You'll cut the end of your thumb off. Please don't ask how I know this...

Here is the knife. Sorry for the crappy photo.

I used it last night to break down some Avon boxes (my wife is a rep, with a pretty booming little business, so every two weeks I get a chance to cut stuff), and the long, curved, thin main blade just went through the cardboard like it was hot butter. This morning I used it to cut up some steak (steak and eggs is one of my favorite breakfast food), and again, this blade was just unreal. This is tru-sharp, not CV, but man, I may become a fan of this pattern if ALL Toothpicks cut this well!!

Here's a picture of the knife by itself so you can see the jigging.

That is a pretty little knife.:thumbup::thumbup:

In fact, nice enough that I wonder if one is going to find itself in my pocket.

How's the opening effort with the nail nick that far back?

It's not really bad at all, JK. The springs have a nice pull to them, a bit less then the Peanut, but substantial enough. No half stops. The color is a bit funkier then I normally go for, but as this is an exotic looking little guy, it kind've fits, you know? Plus I like that it is bright, so I won't lose it if it falls or gets left on some mulch.
Haha.
I am looking for things to cut, because it cuts like the dickens. The main blade, towards the end, is a tiny bit "flexy", just like a fillet knife. Some people may not like this, but it works for me. I always wanted a really thin knife that cut really really well. I was thinking about getting a medium sized one, but this little guy is so cute and cool looking, it should be really sheeple friendly. Haven't gotten a chance to do much outside the house with it yet, but I plan to. Might be a "fancy" mighty mite to add to your collection, JK!!

Maybe. I'd have to test it out on some pan fish bellies of course. I do love those little mighty mites. I remember an old friend and co-worker did just about everything with a Old Timer mighty mite.

I like that little guy! I have several tiny toothpicks, it is a neat pattern. There's a lot of blade crammed into a teeny little package- and that clip blade is uber-pointy! My problem with the pattern is that it's so slim- it kind of disappears into my big ham mitts. Having two springs and a pen blade seems to be a great idea, I think my hands would like that much better.

Very cool knife! Case doesn't make those as two blades very often- though it would be nice if they did.

Moonwilson, I was never a big fan of the tini Toothpick either for the very reason you mentioned. It is way thin. However, this two blade one is just what the doctor ordered.

That is a nice knife. I have a tiny toothpick with smooth green handle that I like. While it is very thin & tiny, I find it to be pretty easy to use. However, I am sure that the 2-blade version is more secure in the hand. I wish they would put a bail on the tiny toothpick. Enjoy the new knife!

One of my pet peeves!

Knives like tiny toothpicks, peanuts, Eisenhower's, and other small pen's, deserve the ability to be put on a watch chain, keychain, lanyard, or such.

Just my own opinion, which with a dollar and some change will get me a coffee at 7-11.

Carl.

Very nice.

A good friend who is a horologist is very fond of Case Tiny Toothpicks. Sometimes carries one at the watch store he works at since they are not fond of larger knives. He says they make great little cigar knives.

I recently bought one of these as a Christas gift and I'm loving the color of it so much I may have to keep it. Looks much better in person than the catalog & internet photos. I like them thin & with a single spring so I wish the same color was available with a single blade.
