Found a Case CV lg stockman, on deep discount, over the weekend. No box or paperwork, but a great folder nonetheless. Great walk and talk, strong springs, even if someone did return it, I can find no wrong with it. It is CV, already some patina on the spine of the sheepsfoot. Stockmans have always been my favorite pattern, and I really like this one.

Good find. I'm thinking of picking up a stockman (maybe medium, but haven't ruled out large) in CV sooner or later. It's one of my favorite patterns as well.

I agree , I recently bought a Case CV Jumbo Stockman in amber bone, it's a lot of knife for the money, very well made.

Lg. Stockman is my fav. Case pattern...today.
I'm not familiar with a Jumbo one...just how Jumbo is it??

I have two... a 6.5 bonestag in ss and the cv in amber bone. They're about 4.25 " closed and have the square bolsters.

You can find the amber bone in CV for less than $50. IMO it's a bargain.

Here's a picture of my bonestag version.

Whats the model number of the jumbo?

BTW, my stamp has three x's, in a triangle shape, over the end of the Case stamp. I'm guessing it's recent, maybe 2005 at the oldest. Any idea? This is a user, I'd just like to know age.

Can't help on the age , but my knives are the same pattern # as yours... the amber is 6375 (model # CA204) and the bonestag is 6.5375 (model# CA 3493).

If you like the larger patterns, take a look at the Crandall Large Saddlehorn. It dwarfs the stock knives..... I haven't carried it yet, but I think it's strictly for a belt sheath.

I carry the the large stockman in a Case leather trapper belt sheath. It fits perfectly.

I get it...it's the Case Large Stockman...I've never heard it called a Jumbo b4.
I have that same 6.5...it's my workhorse.

That would be a 2007 model. What bone did you say? Was it amber bone?

It does get a little confusing. There's a 6347 pattern with round bolsters that I've seen referred to as a large stockman too, but it's 3 7/8 ".

I really like the 6375, I will they'd offer it more.

Yeah, there's about 3 or 4 different models that are refered to as Medium Stockmans.....
Here's my 6.5 Large one....great tool...

I'd like to get hold of a new Bonestag Stockman.

CASE are out of their tree to discontinue this scale option....

I've really come to love my Stockman. It saw a lot of drawer time until I finally realized how much I really loved it.

I've got a great sheath for it that carries it exactly where is perfect for me.
