Just got my Case Amber Bone Med CV Stockman. Wow! The pics on the Case website do not do this knife justice. It is beautiful. Perfect size too. I am really going to like this one. It's already in my pocket.

I've become truly hooked on their Amber Bone. For some reason it fits what my eyes want to see in a traditional knife.

Great acquisition!

The photos really do not do the amber bone justice; it looks pretty ordinary on screen in the Case stock photos, but better in a real life shot (like the ones FLymon hooked me with) and even better in person. I know you are going to like that pattern in that handle material.

I have amber bone small Texas Jack in cv. That is really sweet knife. Congrats for getting good knife. Does that stockman has blade rubbing between spey and sheepshoof?

Yes it does. Very slight rubbing at the point where the spey blade's spine tapers at the tip. It looks like it will leave a slight rub mark just behind the nail mark on the sheeps foot blade.

Good score!,
What size is that knife?...looks to be nearly 3 inches closed?
Nice looking knife, what is it like to open from new?...is it quite stiff?..or good to go?
I find nothing more annoying than a knife that is so hard to open....

Congrats on a great knife!
I've got almost the same one myself (pen instead of spey blade), great scale material. Really does look a whole lot better in person, and feels really good in the hand too.

Enjoy it!

All this makes me want to get that red bone Medium stockman in CV with pen blade instead spey I've been looking...

Duncan - I believe the knife is the 6318 - 3 9/16"

Jani - You probably know, but the pen blade variant is the 6318HE

Here is an 18 with a couple 087. I'm partial to the pen blade. I'd like a nice red bone too.

Yeah, thanks Hal, I kinda knew that but I wasn't quite sure was it 6318 or 6381. Still, I've been eyeing such Case medium stockman in redbone with CV blades for while.

Not hard to open at all. It feels like a knife that has been broken in - not stiff anymore but also not worn out or loose. Perfect.
