Had a credit at True Value, and a coupon. Their Case trapper, in amber bone, was on sale (sadly they're phasing out the last of their Case, Buck, Victorinox, Leatherman and chinese Schrades, for Frost). For a couple dollars after using the coupon and credit, I was the proud owner of a Case amber bone trapper. Model 6254. In my joy to get it, I did not notice that it was SS. No CV on the display case. Great walk and talk, no wiggle. I am very fickle about my slippies, only found a few that were for me, traded many off like a fool. I would like to find this model in CV, but it is a great little knife. Carrying proudly with my SMF. :foot:

Got two saks, a Buck 703 and a RAT stockman.

Congrats on picking up a very nice knife. I recently became the owner of a couple of Case Trappers myself. I think you'll be well served with the stainless knife. My knives are split 50-50 between the Tru Sharp, and CV. At this point, I couldn't honestly tell you which I prefer. I like them both. The Amber Bone is my favorite.

Maybe you already know this, but be forewarned...these Case knives are addictive. I bought a Sodbuster Jr. a while back, and it has since multiplied into a Medium Stockman, a Trapper, a Mini Trapper, a Canoe, and a Peanut.
