I would like to see pictures of your Case Amber Bone that has been used for awhile.

I recently required this canoe and it is lightly used. I then noticed the stark difference between it and my father's well-used mini trapper. He's used it everyday for 5+ years. The mini trapper almost looks plastic to me in comparison to the canoe. So I wondered if Case maybe change they're materials or methods or something to that effect. Or if this just in fact is how well used amber bone looks overtime.

That's normal. The dark tones in the jigging usually fade to a lighter color with use in my experience.

The darkest jigging gets lighter and the light parts get darker. I guess you could say it gets more medium, overall. :D Personally, I think it looks better with age.
I think I've had this one for about a year, but haven't carried it every day:

I think it's fair to say that CASE's Amber Bone exhibits a lot of differences from run to run and knife to knife. When it's good, I think it very attractive but it can be lack-lustre too.

Here's a Large Stockman which I think is good, the pile side is very deeply jigged, almost peach seed effect but that too is nice. Jigging goes into the bolsters on both sides, a plus. I have a Mini Copperlock that's rather miserable example though, not much jigging and washy colours. a Medium Stockman has very light colour although pretty, I messed up the knife's springs by filing off too much from the kick so I don't photograph it....:grumpy:
