Case and other Shadow patterns

Howdy,

I recently saw a Case "shadow bone" peanut in the Peanut thread. i don't own any shadow patterns, but now would really like one in bone.

Was 2001 the last time Case made shadow patterns? Are any makers currently putting them out?

Wouldn't sodbuster patterns be shadow patterns?

I don't know if Case is still making them, but the desert tan zytel lightweights are shadow patterns. And they have a peanut I think. I may have to investigate that!! Thank you for reminding me, I had forgotten about them.

But I do wish Case made more shadow patterns in traditional materials like bone, or even stag. The sodbuster is available in bone shadow pattern.

You guys are right about the sodbuster! I should be more specific and say I'm thinking peanut, stockman, etc.

The most recent Traditional Forum knife is a shadow pattern of a double-ended serpentine jack.

I really like the looks of shadow patterns.... a friend as a really nice Case shadow bone half-whittler. Its is too bad its not currently sold.
