I was on vacation this past weekend and was able to visit the lovely Walnut Bowls store in Osage Beach MO. There I picked up an Autumn Shadow bone half whittler. Although the two scale sides don't match up 100%, I really like the smooth bolsterless look. I am pretty excited about this little blade as it's the first Case that I've had with EXCEPTIONAL QC. The blades although not as sharp as I'd like have excellent walk and talk and have no horizontal blade play. The springs are solid and strong and there is no grinding on either blade. This one's a keeper! My main question is, does anyone else have a fave bolsterless knife? How does the bone end up holding out?
Thanks,
Matt

Labor Day weekend I was at the Shepherd Hills store in Eddyville, KY. I purchased an Autumn Shadow Bone peanut for my younger son's collection. I felt that the fit and finish and walk and talk on this knife was exceptional also. I looked at two different knives and chose this one because the blades had a bit more snap to them. I love the feel of the bolsterless scales.

BTW, I also bought a Jade Bone Tiny Trapper for my older son's collection. If you haven't seen one of these yet, you really need to check them out. It's a peanut-sized trapper! Pretty cool!

I saw those in the new catalogue the day after I left  I would have loved to pick one up:o
