I may be the proud owner of a new Case Bartender knife with natural smooth bone scales.

I ordered it with the idea of it being a gift for a friend of mine that works as a chemist at a local winery.
In conversation with him today, he said he really wouldn't carry a pocket knife. He has too much in his pockets already and wants to carry less.

:eek::eek:

It is an interesting knife that is growing on me.

Anyone lse a fan of the pattern?

OH YEA!!.. I am a fan!.

In fact, I just gave away a beautiful Case Bartenders knife with the jigged green bone with the Arrow shield to a dear friend. She absolutely loves it and tells me she gets quite a few complements about such a classy libation opener..:)

Actually, anything with a corkscrew qualifies in my short book..:eek::rolleyes::p:D

Here is a Boker Treebrand in MOP from the turn of the century(last century that is :D)

Button hook tool.. But hey, A Glove hook qualifies as a right answer.

I recon folks in the 19th century must of had one helluva time buttoning up in those days.. Probably soon after a few drinks from those bottles they were opening with the corkscrew..:D

Here is another vintage c19th century German MOP bartenders knife that I just traded with a very valued BF member here in this forum. I feel very fortunate to have received it.

Very nice... I really like knives with corkscrews. That's how I started my knife collecting. Those are great examples. I love seeing that old Boker of yours sunnyd. The other looks familiar too. I am pleased she has such a good home and someone who appreciates her beauty.

Thanks S-K,

She does have another good home here and is nicely loved!.:thumbup:

Ed T,

That is a beauty. Something about natural bone and that pattern that looks oh so perfect!

I have that same Case in 6.5 Bone Stag...For me it carries a little hefty in the pocket at times. A good pattern though.

I agree with you Jenner, great pattern and the heft is one of the reasons I like it. But I won't pocket carry anything much above a 3.5 inch pocket knife anymore. I've been a fan of belt sheaths now for a while for the larger patterns and IMHO it really makes EDC'n the bigger slippy's much more fun.
