I saw these in a catalouge earlier in the week and thought I'd share. A few searches on the forum turned up nothing, so I'll ask, is this knife a regular production model? Or is it being made for the retailer? I think it's a neat knife but I wouldn't want to carry it in my pocket.

I think it's a Shepherd Hills cutlery exclusive, but I might have seen those in the Smoky Mountain knife works catalog too.

Wouldn't surprise me if SMKW sourced many of those as SFOs, in addition to Shepherd Hills. The 'Beast' trapper model has been available for quite some time, going back into the early or mid-90s at least. Saw a lot of them at gun/knife shows, back then. Don't know if it's ever been a Case catalog item, but there are still quite a lot of them out there. There have been some similarly-configured Peanuts like this, too (I have one; they call it the 'Big Nut' :)).

Thanks for sharing I don't believe I've ever seen one while it is an attractive and cool knife I don't see any practical purpose for it however I suppose not all knives need a purpose.
