A friend of mine at work is looking for a specific knife. It is a 3 3/8" stockman with square bolsters and the Bone Stag handle material that Case uses. He thinks that is the best looking handle material ever. The serpentine stockman he showed me was very nice. He claims to have seen one and he believes it was made about 2001 or so. I told him that I would help him search. Can anyone here help?? He is starting to be a real knife nut, and I want to help him with his addiction.

Dave.

Hi David,

They are still being made (in 2005) and should not be hard to find.
You may want to start at Smokey Mountain.

Thanks for your replies. I will continue my search. If anyone else has a lead, it would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Dave

Keith, it sounds like he is looking for the med. stockman in 6.5 bonestag.

However, I have the knife your speaking of, and I like it!!! I also like the large stockman in the amber and CV a little better though!!!

Yeah, the amber bone doesn't really resemble bonestag. :o

The large amber bone stockman in CV is definitely on my short list of knives to buy. I saw on the first link that the Last Confederate provides that the large bonestag stockman is available in CV as well. Nice!

Yes, Ive had that "dilemna". Ive beent hinking of the large stockman in 6.5 bonestag CV!!!

I'll keep my eye out for you for a large amber stockamn in CV (for a good price) if you like.

Check out Sheperd Hills...I thought I saw them offering a limited run of the large 75 pattern stockman in 6.5 bone stag and CV.

Here are the stock patterns that Case has made with square bolsters from the 70's til now:

6333 2-5/8" closed

6344 3-1/4" closed

63032 3-1/2" closed

6392 4" closed

6375 4-1/4" closed

Round Bolsters:

6327 2-3/4"

63087 3-1/4"

6318 3-1/2"

6347 3-7/8"

6339 (sowbelly) 3-7/8"

DavidZ,

The thing that seems to be throwing everyone is the 3 THREE/8" size. Since you didn't actually mention a Medium Stockman....but rather an exact size, is it possible your friend meant 3 FIVE/8"?

TLC found A 3 3/8" stockman, knifeaholic has provided some history, and rev_jch found a 53087 SS. Soooooo.... maybe it's the size thing? Or, maybe not. :)

Crap, I missed that one, that sure is one sweeeet knife!

I have a 6.5 bonestag trapper and it is one of the best looking knives I own.

Thanks for all of your replies. I asked the guy at work where he saw it, and he said his dad has one. He is going to call his dad, and get the # off of it. That should tell if it is the 3 3/8" or 3 5/8" . I will let you know.
Thank You everyone.
Dave.

I am the one Dave Z. is trying to help find this knife. This knife looks like a medium stockman measures exactly 3 1/4", has square bolsters, amber bone or bone stag handle with the numbers 6334 SS X.X
X.X.X

This knife has the sheeps foot blade with the clip point and pen.

Thanks for any help

Jim

Sounds like a 6344...

I don't think they made that in the 6.5 handle....but not sure

They did make it for one year in pocket worn antique green bone

It is in the regular Case product line with delrin handles, but not in the amber bone line I do not think.
