Now that the 09 Case/Bose knife has been unveiled what has everyone's experiences been with the 08 Arkansas Hunter. Is it a safe queen? Does anyone EDC it in their rotation? Which Case/Bose knife is the most EDC'ed?
I recently purchased a Case/ Bose Dogleg Jack from another form member with a custom sheath and it is at the top of my rotation. The Arkansas Hunter IMHOP is not as carry friendly.

I had an Arkansas Hunter, but I sold it. It's a very nice knife, but a bit big for me to carry. And I was underwhelmed by the jigging on mine- it was no nicer than your average production Case today- not crisp, too shallow and wide. The dye was also a bit uneven. Picky, I know, but I expected near perfection from a knife that cost almost $300. Especially when you can pick up a nearly perfect main-line production Case for less than $100. The swayback jack Case is making right now- also a Tony Bose design- is exquisite.

But the action on the Arkansas hunter was fantastic- great snap. It is a very solid, chunky knife that seems like it could take a lot of hard use. I'm sure there are lots of guys out there who are perfectly happy with theirs. And I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to kick myself in a couple of years about selling mine. As collectibles, they're pretty hard to beat. Any of the Case/ Bose collaborations are almost guaranteed to increase in value over time.

I got the Case/Bose Swayback Jack a while back and think it a super EDC. I got it with the green bone because I loved the look of the single bolster. Very pocket friendly knife. It has a hard time getting pocket time this winter from my "yeller" medium stockman with CV blades. I am sure it will come to the top of the rotation again. The '09 collaboration is beautiful and I am sure I will get one as well.

I had an Arkansas Hunter and it was bigger than I envisioned.

Nice work from Case, I thought the jigging was very close to the prototype posted. The grinds were excellent and the swedges were nicely done. It was easy to pluck open. For someone that would need a big knife, I'd think it would fill the bill. The ebony scaled versions I've seen had a lot of appeal.

I'm on the list for a "Norfolk", it will be the most popular Case/Bose collaborations to date.
