Case / Bose 2005 Pattern - FYI

I was at a Case show at a Gun Store in Bedford, IN. today and Mr. Bose was there. I had him sign the cases for all of mine, and he was telling me that next year’s pattern will be a "Lockback Whittler". No word yet on handles. He alos said that he is supposed to get a prototype next week.

I heard the same thing from the Case rep at Blade Show West this year. Should be a nice knife. Fighti'n Rooster made a nice lockback whittler a few years back.

Thank for the info. I got to play with the original, custom version of the pattern this year at Blade. Its an absolutely stunning knife. Main blade is a lockback, clip or spear as I recall. Other two blades outside of it. Closed length around 4-1/4. Very complex knife. If done right, it could be the best of the bose/case series so far.

I haven't bought a Case Bose yet. They are nice, but I've passed. I had a muskrat in stag, but was disappointed in the quality and thickness of the stag. I will probably buy one of the lockback whittlers in bone. I've been told in no uncertain terms that I will not be getting a custom version of that one.
