Which one performs better? Not worried about scratches or corrosion.

The Damascus on the one my son owns takes a better edge. The grinds seem crisper, swedges, nicks. Maybe because of the deep etch.

Hard to say as most of us usually only have the stainless. This holds its edge well and arrives sharp, it slices very well-if that's what you mean by 'performance' ? I have a couple of Damascus knives but I'm not really struck on the stuff actually.

I have a couple of the 154cm models too. I have the opportunity to buy a damascus.

After sleeping on it... I'm gonna pass.
