I was trolling around Case's website, and the serial TB61546 CV caught my eye!

http://www.wrcase.com/knives/new/browse.php?Family='BackPocket'&Recently='1'

It looks like it's only out in Chestnut Bone for now. Googling around, I only found two sites listing it, and both are a pre-order with delivery listed as March.

Sweet, I was waiting to see if this would happen! :D

Same here. I really like the pattern but held out hoping for CV. I searched before posting to make sure someone hadn't already mentioned it and saw lots of posts hoping for the same.

Anyway, I'm glad they decided to put one out in CV....Now there's the wait for March to come :D

Yea,Ill be gettin me one of these. Thanks for the heads up!I dont know why every pattern isnt offered in CV.

Of course I find this out after picking up one in tru-sharp. Oh well, I really like the ebony. I wonder what the chances are of ebony and cv. I do love their chestnut bone as well.

I caught that last night when I was cruising knife dealer websites. They are getting the CV out sooner than I expected. I almost went for the stainless version just because I didn't want to wait, but now the CV is coming out I'm glad I waited.

Well, the UPS guy just dropped mine off, so I can give y'all my impression of the knife. All in all, it's a good knife at a decent price. Fit and finish are good - the spring is a pretty solid 5, the grinds are even, and I can't see daylight on either side of the backspring. The chestnut bone looks okay, although it sorta shades to pink where it was shaped to fit the bolsters. Not a big deal to me. The blade is mostly centered, and the fit of the blade to the backspring is better than average, although not as good as the Case swayback jack that I picked up last year. It's got a half-stop, and the backspring is all but flush with the blade is closed, but very, very slightly below the liners at the half-stop and open positions. The one odd thing is that someone ground the kick down just a tiny bit after the knife was put together. It's doubly odd, I think, because as near as I can tell, the tip of the blade was already below the liners before the grinding was done. I compared it with my Hampton Back Pocket, and the closed length of the Case is maybe an eighth of an inch longer, but the blade of the knife Kerry made is about a quarter inch longer. It's not exactly a fair comparison, though, because the custom has a Zulu spear blade, rather than a clip blade.

Basically, I like it. I don't buy many production knives anymore, since my custom habit eats my knife budget, but this is a keeper.

You! You talked about it and made me look. After having looked I had to purchase. I think I was doing OK until I really noticed the lanyard hole. Case Bose Backpocket in CV headed my way!

Yes finally I tried realy hard to like it before but held off because of the blade steel the chrome vanadium takes a realy nice patina after regular use.

Handled one at SHOT show , nicely done. Keep hoping they come up with the same thing just smaller ( 3 1/2 - 3 7/8 ) , maybe a FrontPocket ? ;)

I've come to appreciate the ss, ebony combination enough that I wouldn't want to give it up now. The chestnut / cv sure is tempting though. I really like the size, shape, and construction of these.

Mine came in today. It's bigger than I imagined yet slimmer too. The bone looks nice and the color looks better than in the picture. The blade is centered and has a half stop which I like on a long blade. A 5-6 on the blade pull with a less than glass slick blade action. I've oiled it and will work the joint for a while so maybe it will smooth out in time. F&F is pretty good overall, only one little speck of light shows between backspring and liner. It came shaving sharp out of the box. I really like the swedged long clip blade and I plan on pocketing this one on my next trip out. Need to find a proper lanyard.

The handle miked at 0.425", relatively slim for a big knife.
