Case-Bose Collaboration Question

I hope a simple question, with a simple answer concerning the Case-Bose Collaboration knives:

Did Mr. Bose design the knives and Case construct them, or did Mr. Bose design and construct them?

Asking here so as not to derail the Case-Bose discussion thread.

Mr. Bose would make two prototypes himself and send them to Case. One would be fully assembled and the other wasn't. Case uses the two prototypes as guides or templates to build the finished product.

I know Tony made a post describing the process in detail but I can't find it. This one is the closest post I could find.
