case bowie knife

when i was in the philippines in the early 70s i purchased a case knife set with kodiak hunter and a bowie knife. the kodiak hunter and bowie are still made by case except i cant find the brass blade guarde for the bowie knife. anyone have any ideas?
 
Assuming the knives you bought overseas are genuine and not fakes (yes, there were knockoffs/counterfeits back then, too), contact Case. I know they have rebladed old folders for people, replacing that piece should be no problem for them.

Interesting. Were you in the military at the time? Did you buy the set in the BX/PX or on the local economy?
 
My Dad back in the mid 60's got a M.W. Seguine skinner from a heavy equipment salesman. How do tell the real from the fake?
