What is your opinions on Case's big bowie knives? Would they hold their own as a good woods knife doing chopping and everything else you would use a big knife for? Thanks.:)

Overall, just like Gerber and Puma; Case isn't the same company it used to be. From what I've seen, the quality isn't what my Grandfather could have found when he was my age. :(
 
We have a local case master dealer here and I have been able to handle most all of their bowies. The main thing they are good for now is collecting and because of that their usability has gone down. Plus they don't have the weight for doing any decent chopping.
