Case Bulldog 5172 Help

I have recently received two 5172 Case Bulldogs which were both sold as tight no blade play.
Well when the knife is open the blades are pretty tight, little noticable movement with light to medium
Pressure.

But....once closed they both close off center and can easily be moved back towards center. Once at that point I can feel resistance, such that the blade becomes "tight" again.
But....I can move the blade on both knives away from center easily towards the original "off center area".

They close off enough that the blades can rub the liner.
Besides being represented as no blade play, there is a real need to get specification on play closed as well.

Was I duped?
I am considering seeking a repair person to clamp and re-peen and polish the pin, bolsters.
I don't know why this is or how much a job like this I would be willing to pay.
I also wonder If Case does this repair on this area of concern.

It also makes me wonder if the tang if not true where it makes contact with the back spring.
Making unequal pressure causing the blade to skew?

Try 1 include video on page

For now I don't know which code for the link will apply a vid on the page.
I will try again, but these links should bring you to PhotoBucket

These copy link options on photobucket were the "direct". I might need to choose flash or html?
I am only just beginning to post pics let alone vids on the page LOL

Well to have reached a known issue via the repair people at Case knives is some consolation.
Matthew was a pleasure to talk with.
Case Bulldogs just do this.
And some better than others, but early on in their lives
The blade sitting in the liner is not going to
Have anywhere near the backspring holding force.

Handle with care and refrain from scratching the blades, but these are not everyday knives,
And there will always be Red Headed step children in the collection.

Matt said the large Case Sodbuster is an excellent example of a
Knife that is tight open but wobbling loose closed.

Ummm.
