Just a quick question . Do case canoe and baby butterbean knives have one back spring or two?
Thanks in advance,
RMO

The butterbean has one and the canoe has two. The older canoe knives, I think from early 80s and before, were single spring.

My 5 "x" 2 "*" 62131 CV with two springs is 8mm or 0.3125 inches or 5/16 inch wide (take your pick) at the bolsters.

Skinny even with two springs.

This one is a 1977...

I'm new here and I collect primarily the canoe pattern....especially the CASE canoe pattern. Although I collect many other patterns from many different cutlers the CASE canoes are the heart of my collection. Just looking for a new source of information and conversation about knives.
