Case Canoe question?

I am considering buying a Case Canoe slip joint from a buddy but I only want it if it has carbon steel blades. The number on the little blade is 62131CV. Is this "CV" lettering indicative of one with carbon blades? Any help appreciated thanks.

Yes, if a Case knife has "CV" short for Chrome Vanadium on it, then it is a Carbon steel blade.

Also, if an older Case knife doesn't say "CV" or "SS" on it, it also is carbon steel.

Case has always marked their stainless steel with "stainless" or "SS".
