Case Carbon Fiber Medium Stockman

I just received this knife and have been excited to get it because it combines a few features that don't seem very common.

I think it's a great combination of classic and modern design. Of course it's a stockman, so you've got the traditional part, but the carbon fiber and lack of bolsters give a sleek, modern vibe as well.

Two of the things I really like about this knife compared to others are the lack of bolsters and satin finish blades instead of mirrored finish. Every time I use a knife with those, I feel like I'm constantly trying to get fingerprint smudges off of them. I believe in taking care of knives, but these features make me feel OCD.

So, carbon fiber scales may be heresy to some, but I dig it.

This isn't exactly a review post, but I will also say that it is light in the hand and the pocket, and feels good to hold as well. Just as with my other case knives, the blades are sharp and lock up well with a good, strong snap on closing. I haven't got to do any cutting yet...but I'm sure I'll get to that soon enough.

I have a few other case knives (sway back gent, canoe, small texas toothpick, pen, jack, 2 trapperlocks), but this is my first stockman. I thought I'd include some pictures because I haven't seen a lot other than stock photos out there.
