Case Cattaraugus Line?

I recently noticed that these were put out there a few years back and from what I have read they were supposed to be up there in quality with the Case/Bose collaboration line. I have a chance to grab one for a decent price (well below the collaboration knife prices) and wanted to see if anybody has one that can verify F&F of any of these. I am particularly interested in the Gunstock but if any one has any of the four that were put out I would love to see some more detailed pics and get more info on the quality.

Here is a pic of the one I am looking at:

It has ATS-34 blades and stainless bolsters and liners.

Any help is greatly appreciated.:)

I've only seen pictures and haven't had any personal experience with them...but it looks great. I'm very interested to hear feedback. And a gunstock to boot....great pattern.

It does seem like a great knife all around but seems to have been one that was overlooked. I have searched all over and cannot find reviews or detail pics any where.

I've had a chance to see and handle a couple of those in person. They are nicely made, but not up to the standards of the Tony Bose collaborations. They are more along the lines of the Case Select series, IMO, which is nice, but nothing to get terribly excited over. The ATS-34 blades are a huge plus. However, the bone is hideous. Why take such an awesome knife and slap on pinkish/ salmon scales with weak jigging? They should have made those with stag, ebony, or even decent bone scales. Smooth yellow would have been nice. If Case was trying to recreate the look of old "red bone" look, they missed the mark by quite a bit. Those hideous scales are the reason you still see those knives available, several years after a limited release. Stag or ebony, and they would have been long gone.

Also, they are usually WAY overpriced. If you can get a good deal on one of those, I say go for it. The Gunstock and Yukon are nice. I haven't had a chance to fiddle with the others, but I assume they are the same.

Thanks Andy, that's what I needed to hear. If they were up to par with the Bose collaborations then I would be able to look past the scales. But if they aren't that great then I'll keep moving on.
