Hi,
Not sure if this is where to post this, I figured this forum would be right, since I can't find a case forum. I have gone back and forth for a number of years between traditional pocket knives, and the "new" high tech folders. I have been torn. Well I have finally resolved that I am a traditionalist. I am selling/sold the few tatical knives that I have. I am not really a collector... although I could probably do that easily. All my knives become users. So now with those tatical knives gone, that leaves me with a Buck 110 AG. A great knife... but sometimes in certain situations... I should not be wearing it on my belt. A little akward and need something to sit in my pocket.

I have friends and family that have always carried case, the main reason I have not was because I thought they did not make a knife that locked. That was my foolish ignorance, they do. I have been intrigued by the Copperlock. Is there anyone here who has or does carry and use one? Is it a good knife, or is there another case knife that you would recommend to me? Thanks for the help.

I have a couple of the Copperlocks. A large wharncliffe and a small clip blade (both in CV). They are excellent knives. Very thin, lock up with authority and carry very well.

I love my Copperlock as well. As noted it is extremely thin and comfortable to carry. The Folding Hunter and Russlock both lock as well.

I'm sure you will get plenty of opinions and help here. :D

I'll just agree with what Elliott has said. This one, with a forced, boiled vinegar patina, has been just perfect for me...whenever I call upon it.....

Another "yes" vote for the copperlock. My CV yellow mini is one of my favorite EDC's. The lock-up on the ones I've handled is exceptionally tight and secure. One of my favorite patterns, hands down.

Thanks for the replies, y'all. I think I might pic one of these up to be my Sunday morning suit knife. The rest of the time, I admit I just love the feel of the Buck 110 in my hand. But I think I might look into one of those copperlocks. Thanks for the pics too.

The Copperlock has a useful large blade and a sure lock-up. Very slim handle is good for carry but might not please those who like chunky styles.

I have a Mini-Copperlock as well in pocket worn redbone, a very handy small knife in a Jack Russell kind of way:D Also has a secure lock.

Other lockbacks are offered by Weidmannsheil(generally new made in Germany but there are vintage ones too) Nice quality, reasonable prices . Moore Maker offers lockbacks, even a double lock back. The Mountain Man pattern-from Queen and S&M- might interest you as well if it's a big one you are after!
