Case CV Trapper compared with Stockman

I just bought a pair of yellow-delrin handled trappers in CV, and am thinking of getting a large stockman with same handle and steel. My question is this: How does blade thickness of largest stockman blade compare with thickness of blades on trapper? Any info appreciated.

Best regards.

The master blade on the Trapper is slightly thicker than the master blade on the large Stockman.

At the back of the blade, just in front of the grind:

2.45 mm on the Trapper
2.20 mm on the Stockman
(Sorry, I can't lay my hands on my Imperial micrometer, but you get the picture).

Cheers

Something about the yellow delrin is very attractive to me and I might wind up getting a knife with this material.

Thanks Rod.

That's certainly enough info. I appreciate the effort.

Hi Boink:

I agree. That yellow delrin has been around a long time. I remember my dad having a yellow-handled Case many years ago.

Best regards.

Hi Rod:

Outstanding! Exactly the sentiments my father expressed to me. Thanks for the link.

Best regards.

I've got a Case Trapper in CV with the yellow delrin handles, and have also thought about the stockman.

But honestly, I have been a little disappointed in the steel performance compared to my Old Timers and Camillus blades.

Same here. My CASE trapper is a nice knife , put together pretty well but it does not hold a edge that well.
