Anybody have one of these? Opinions, impressions? It looks a lot like a fixed-blade version of the Swayback, which is one of my favorite patterns, so I'm tempted...

These Case desk knives are great. Cyro heat treated 154CM with a variety of handle materials. A lot of old companys offered desk knives, leave them on your desk and they are very handy for opening mail, boxes, etc. The also come in a nice leather sheath.

Just when I thought that I was on a well thoughtout knife collection path you make my dull letter opener feel inadequate.

A brother that stayed at the goat ranch for Blade year before last, gave me one as a gift.

A great knife. It is the first 154cm knife from Case that I own. The sheath secures the knife well enough for carry in a briefcase pocket. It is a handy knife to carry around or leave on a desk or even use in the kitchen. Took a bit of sharpening out of the box. Maybe they have addressed that small issue. They seem to have done a good job on the HT. This pup holds and edge for a good while.

I'm not normally one to go for wood handles, but the english walnut is sure purty (As is the natural bone one). I don't own a desk to leave it on, though... I'd have to carry it around instead. The horror. ;)

What's the blade length? The only specs I've found are for the overall length of the knife.

your desk knife sounds like a fine gents or ladies knife. is their some pictures of your knife that you could share? this might be just the thing for a Christmas gift for my dad.

I like the looks of those desk knives too. One of those is on my must get list. I bet it'd do a fine job of cutting up an apple or some salami and cheese. Now I've gone and made myself hungry ....

I was actually thinking about getting one for my mom the other day. I will measure and post blade length when I get home tonight.

Desk knives are handy things to have, much better than the typical dull letter opener. I had one made by Kerry that he based off the teardrop pattern. I owned it for less than 24 hours before it was snatched up by my wife. She is quite fond of that knife and prefers it over the others I've given her because she doesn't have to worry about her nails.

Didn't realize they'd done one with the fancy old Office Knife scale decoration. Pretty neat! I assume that's laser etched natural bone?
