case dixie special

I bought a case xx knife called Dixie Special at a auction.It was made in 1980.1199SHR is the model number.Knife is mint.Does anybody have any info or value on this knife.

Unless it has a stag handle, it probably doesn't have much resale value. Case knives, especially since they started the current marking system back in the 70's have been of some questionable quality, especially during the time that Parker owned the company and Frost did a lot of contract work for them. But then again there are enough Case collectors out there that you could possibly get more for it than you paid, but don't hold your breath. You're better off just using it and enjoying it.
