Case does 1 dot = 1999 manufacture?

I just found in my collection a real stag Case Hobo knife. It must have been a gift because I didn't remember buying it. Anyway, I'm trying to find out when I got it and how gave it to me...

It has the case logo with the XX stamped onto the fork with USA below and a single dot below the S in USA. The blade has V5254 and HBSS stamped on it. Is this a 1999 model knife?

Should I keep it or sell it?

I figured it out...

The single dot means it's a 1999.

There is a website that lists all the dates and how to read the tang stampings. I should have saved to favorites!

I'd keep anything that was stag....JMO The real question is whether to use it while camping or stow it away ???
