Case dot quality?

I would like to find out what the quality of the the case dot knives from the 70's is compared with the new case knives? I realize the really old case knives were of the best quality, I think? Any help is greatly appreciated, I have just recently started on slip joints.

In general, a pattern from the early 70's will be heads above the same current pattern. Many times the action of a used pattern from that era still surpasses the action of the same modern pattern. At least I have noticed that in in 83 (small whittler) and 54 (trapper) patterns as well as doctor patterns.
