Folks, I'm really wanting to get a Case pocket knife. In fact I'd like a fixed too, but my main question deals with an EDC pocket knife. They don't make a model with a clip. Something I've grown to expect in an EDC. Which of their models are the thinnest? I really like the russlock blade and one-handed open but don't know how the 'point' coming out of the handle is going to work out when it's in my pocket. I feel much better with a lock-back as well.

Any suggestions?

Smaller is better but needs to be big enough to slice apples, butcher animals like bunnys, squirrels, coons, open letters...normal EDC stuff (for me at least)

Fixed blades....how does there stainless (ATS-34) stack up to others and is their CV really all it's cracked up to be?

case does make a knife with a clip called the midfolding hunter.....several handle materials to choose from

WOW! That's amazing, if it was a lockback it would be exactly what I had in mind. I've been lurking over at there site several times and never ran across this model. Type in google and get a bazillion hits! Thanks.

Over comments, suggestions, answers still welcome.

Check out the Case Copperlock. Very thin and pocketable but no clip.
Mine locks up like a bank vault, nice knife
I wouldn't rule out a slipjoint either. Case makes some beauties.

I've found a tiny toothpick carries very well in suit pockets and works well as an EDC office knife.

Concerning the Russlock, I have two that I carry one of each day. I've never, ever had the blade to open in my pocket, not even partially.

I have a Copperlock with a Wharcliffe blade in my pocket from time to time. It's a nice knife.

A peanut should be able to handle all of those tasks, without a problem. It doesn't have a clip but is small enough that it should disappear in your pocket. It's also not a lockback, but unless you plan on doing a lot of stabbing, I don't see the need for one, surely you don't need a lockback for the tasks you mentioned.

Just ordered a Case trapper---bone handles--CV blades.

Can anyone comment on the question of the CV blades??

Chrome Vanadium. The blade will rust if your not careful, but the steel is superior, or preferred, by me anyways over stainless.
The mini copperlock always ends up in my pocket.
