George Strunk (Duckman) and Tony are at the Case Collectors Club event in Bradford. George sent these along.

Sometimes the Case events are a real grind for Tony:

I wonder if George got any knives? :) Maybe he can tell us how much the damascus Zulu went for in the auction. (pretty good photos with his new iPhone.)

Very nice pics. Look at those birds, would ya ? I wish I would've went . I always have to work,it seems :grumpy:

Thanks Mike,

Very nice decoys. Thanks for the pics.

One of the first Tony Bose custom folders I fell in love with was a back pocket custom specifically made for a Maryland DELMARVA decoy carver, featured in Blade.

That was a really cool picture of Tony sharpening by hand. You always assume, since knifemakers have all the cool toys, they would use a slack belt or wheel.

It makes you realize even the best put on pants just like we do :)

Do the ducks have names?

I'm sorry -- I hadda ask.:foot:

Looks like it was a fun event.

More pics and info from George. George said the set of Tribal Spear knives, or Zulu, went for $3,000 to Shepard Hills.

Case surprised Tony by giving him its Ambassador Award:

Great pics. Good to see Tony's smiling face. Thank George and Mike. Threads like these add much to our little forum.

Looks as if it was a wonderful event! Congratulations George and Tony.

I am always amazed by the artists that carve duck decoys and George's work is no exception.

Glad you guys liked George's pictures. It does look like a fun event and I think they hold it every other year.

George is actually well known in the duck decoy carving world. I'm sure he has some better pictures but here are a few he sent me from his new phone recently.

Mike,

Fantastic photos, and then information to go with them! Hoorah! A Great award for Tony! The photos of the duck decoys are so so good!

I do have a question...If Tony usually carries that thing called a "Back pocket" in his back pants pocket, what kind of knife wore a hole in his front right pocket! I think that I have to go down to the "Wilfred" place, and follow Tony around, and now maybe a knife will fall out of Both his back pocket and front pocket! :p :D

Here's a pic of Tony getting ready to spin the pins on a tribal spear.

Had a great time at Case. I should have taken more pics of the event. But I got to hang out with Tony for the weekend and most are of him working. Its my first knife show and I was overwhelmed with the amount of great knifes at the show. Of course it was mostly case knifes.

Tony's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He spent most of the weekend kissing hands and shaking babies.
