That's a Classics 2050 I think it was made in 96 for the Bradford Collection. Parker used a lot of different old Case tang stamps on the classics line. A person more versed in the Classics line could tell you more.

Hello there,

I don't want to create a new topic for only 2 questions so I use this one .

1. Do you think the angle between the blade and the handle normal ?
I feel the blade is a bit low . It's a 6347

2. Do all Case boxes has a mention in French ?

Âchillepattada Âchillepattada I've collected the 18 pattern for years and find there is a lot of variety in the blade angle placement, applies to other patterns as well. Moderns seem to have the main blade more straight with the backsprings than the older ones (70's & 80's). This picture shows two extremes; 1975(L) and 2015(R). As to the French labeling, my guess is your knife was packaged for sale in Canada - you see French language labeling on many products labeled for sale in Canada. But to directly answer, no, not all Case boxes have that labeling. OH

I compared my 6347 with your photo and I would say that the angle of the blade is absolutely identical to yours. Mine is a 1988 6347 HP SSP with raised lettering shield.

I thought of that Matt_WY Matt_WY or its got Ivory scales...but the other pics of knives aren't Elephant Toes....so that befuddled me 😵‍💫
Cheers

Just saw this on the auction site with numbering I have not seen before: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314912674833?hash=item4952421411

The pattern is an 1982 (8 dot model with Delrin scales) 6347 1/2 which is a dead ringer for 63047. Both have the Turkish/California clip blade. I always understood the "1/2" at the end of the pattern to distinguish the clip blade version of a pattern that usually has a spear main.

But the 6347 has a clip as the standard main blade. Can anyone elaborate on why this knife has the "1/2"?

Photo from the auction (not mine):

I would say the angled blade isn't uncommon, but in my opinion not normally and not how it should be.
That's about the one thing I hate most in a knife and will correct it if I can.
I can usually correct it ,there's a limit but sometimes I can completely fix it.

My 2018 6347 has a good bit of drop on the main & spey blades.

Use a dremel to take a little off the corner of the backspring or corner where it contacts the blade and you can get it straight where it should be.
I hold the blade partially open and use one of those thin wafer cutoff disks to carefully grind on the tang or backspring.

Here's the sheeps foot on an 032 stockman, and both blades on my favorite 6208 half whittler.

I was able to get the sheeps foot on the 032 close.

The blades on the 08 weren't too bad, and they came out perfect.

The sheepfoot wasn't the issue, though that angle is fairly common on Case stockman patterns. It's the clip variation and the "1/2" that has me curious.
