Case fixed blades???

I have a Case Hunter slabside fixed blade. It has their tru sharp steel. I want to know if anyone has used one of Case's FB with tru sharp, and how well it stood up. The reason I ask is, I am trimming down my toys and I can not make up my mind on it. I have only used one Case fixed blade, and that is an old pheasant knife from 1982. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

I have a mini slabside hunter that I ground the guard off of, rounded out the back of the grip and flattened the choil on the blade all in an effort to make it more hand friendly. Very nice now.

Needs a new sheath but guts deer and pops joints very well. Never really tried to put a great razor edge on it since dirty work is all I have ever used it for.

In fact I use it has a beater bc I prefer carbon. It is funny, I have never actually noticed it being vastly inferior. Sure, I can't make it feel as sharp or perhaps stay as sharp on my various finger/nail/hair tests but that is mostly a mental game. In real life it always cuts well enough to let me move on to the next thing.

Ovbiously looking our respective number of posts there is not much I can say that you don't already know. I just wanted to chime in bc I have one and rather like it. I would have a hard time getting rid of it. Just depends on what else you have I guess.

Thank you very much for the great responce. I do not have a problem with 420HC, and I love what Buck does with it. I just never had a chance to use one of Case's fixed blades like I use my 102 or 119. I really don't use Case's Tru sharp in folder (I tent to carry the older ones with carbon blade ;)), but I have used a Cheetha with TS and it did pretty good, I could not complain. Maybe I can do some mods to this sideslab because it is kind of boxy, and feels like it could get uncomfortable.

Thanks again,
John
