I don't recall ever seeing a thread about case fixed blades here in the traditional subforum, or anywhere else for that matter. In fact, the only place I've even seen them mentioned here on the forum was in one of jackknife's threads about the old trapper (bill?). I picked up one of the 5" models with a stacked leather handle and a clip blade lastnight from bass pro, which I had been eyeing for quite some time. I was extremely impressed with the fit and finish of both the knife and the sheath. I'm at work right now, so I'll try to post some pics when I get home. Has anyone else had any experience with these knives?

There was a thread some time back about sheath knives. Not just Case, but all makes..

True, they don't get talked about as much as the slipjoints, but there are a lot of folks here that have them and enjoy them.

The older Case knives are of good quality, but I can't comment on the current production knives.
The only thing that irritates me about Case, is that they never made a sheath knife with yeller handles. :grumpy:

Congrats on yer new knife.

I swear I remember a while back seeing one of their slabside hunters with what looked like yellow delrin.. Maybe a modification?

Edit: Maybe I was thinking of the orange G-10.. I'm too young to be losing my mind.

These have some yellow in them...:D

You may have seen one with yellow, but it would have been one that someone switched out. There are a quite a few knives for sale (you probably know where) that have had the scales and handles changed out....
As far as being to young to lose your mind, I just turned 48 and there are days I wonder about myself :D
Yes this hobby can definitely put a damper on your extra spendin cash, but what a geat way to do it...

Yes RayBan, those do have some yellow in them :D Very nice lookin bunch of Stag

I use to have a stag Slab Side Hunter and I liked it. There was another knife I wanted more so I traded. I dressed one rabbit with decent results and the stag was nice too! If your fine with Case's SS you'll probably like their FB and they make a good MK II with carbon steel.
