I love the look of several of the Case folders at Dantes Knifeworks, and I was just wondering about the reliability of that site, and how the surgical steel on the blades holds up. Also, I have never owned a knife with a bone handle, and I was wondering how Case's natural and chestnut bone hold up. Thanks!

Case knives are good and bone holds up very well. They make a popular combination which gets better looking the longer you carry it.

I've been carrying a 6333 pattern with bone handles for 20 years or so.Still looks good.

I really like the chestnut bone. As far as blade steel is concerned, I haven't tried their surgical stainless, but you can get one in chrome-vanadium, which is a very good using steel. Holds an edge well and is easy to resharpen. Like any carbon steel, it will take a little more care, though.
