Hello,
A good friend asked me about this CASE paring knife his Uncle purchased a long long time ago and had for years and that my friend just found. I figure there are people here who know a lot more than I do about CASE (and many other things I'm sure) and I appreciate any help in terms of history of the knife, era, etc.
I don't think I've ever posted/attached a picture before, so I followed the instructions and one should appear. On the other hand, I followed a map once and thought I was in Pennsylvania but was actually in NY.
Thanks,
Steve

Well the picture shows up and that is a nice paring knife that has evidently been used for the purpose intended. Now, having said that I know nothing at all about what kind of kitchen knives Case made, when they made them or even if they still do. I'm going to watch this thread with interest to see what comes out of the discussion. - Ed

Thanks, Ed. I was so proud when I saw the picture come up that I rendered myself speechless! :>

That is a knife from the Case OLD FORGE line, these were made with carbon steel blades. In production from the late 1950's through the early to mid 1980's.

I can't date that one any closer except that it is pre-1980.

Thanks for your time and your expertise. Appreciate it and I'll pass the info along to my friend.

Those are great knives!I have a friend that carries one daily. He had me round out, stain, seal, and polish the handle and he carries it in a pack pocket sheath. It gets sharp as a razor blade.
