G'day folks,

Was just wondering if anyone has a pic of a Case humpback whittler(63046WH) closed? from the side...

I've taken a fancy to the red bone CV one, and am wondering how the blades sit, in hand.

Its the one peeve I have about online knife shopping, there is Never a pic of the knife closed, so you have no idea how the blades sit, high, low, gouge the hand secondaries etc...

Thanks for any help,

G.

why dont you ask the people that you are going to buy the knife from for a better picture of it. just tell them what you want to see.

I don't have a pic but I've been carrying one for a month. The main spear sticks up about 1/8 inch max about 1/3 from the tip end. The two smaller blades are pretty low in the frame, hence the scale cut outs to get at the nail nicks. One complaint is these two are nail breakers as a result. The pen is close to flush but the spey has a corner that sticks up about 3/32, again about 1/3 the length of the knife from it's point end.

I have noticed no gouging but haven't whittled for long periods. Also I have the G10 that is satin finished and has a lot sharper edges than any mirror finished Case such as the red bone CV.

It's a good user I recommend it. As always YMMV.

PS pm me your email addy and I'll send you a fone pic of mine fwiw.

Ah, thanks gents!

Ebay or one of the small dealers like Mike at collector knives and I would ask for other pics, but I get my new Case knives at sheppard hills, and i doubt they have the means to take pics as all theirs are, I'm sure, stock images directly from Case.

I had tried a little searching didn't come up with anything, started this thread, and Then found this one just now when i came back to check the thread and dig some more...

But didn't find the one powernoodle just posted.(Thanks again!)
Hmm. apparently my searching skill leaves a lot to be desired.

Definatelly looks like a user to me with those secondaries set so low. Now to acquire the funds.. ;)

I have also had my eye on one of these for a while now...
especially seeing those mods to change the spey to a clip-point  Very nice!

I will have to pick one up at some point...
