Just got these two knives and wonder for what one might use the "punch" or "awl". Any real uses except to punch hole in leather?

Just got these two knives and wonder for what one might use the "punch" or "awl". Any real uses except to punch hole in leather?

Punching holes in leather is good but one of my lesser uses for the awl. I use mine to drill starter holes in wood for screws, reamer for crudded up tubes and formerly tobacco pipes when I used to smoke, scraper where it will fit on metal or other materials, blade substitute for hardened nasty stuff, if possible, when I want to save my actual blades. When I was a kid, it was for playing "stretch" with my friends (blades develop play with that kind of abuse .) In fact, I use it often enough that any knife or multi-tool without one gets a pass from me. I almost didn't get a Charge because of no awl until I found a mod that fit the clip slot, which I bought simultaneously. The only exceptions are keychain or other m-ts that are complementary to my main ones.
