I just preordered this one from Shepherd Hills.I've been wanting to try out the Trapper Locks since they came out & when I saw this one,I just thought "I HAVE to have it".I always wanted a knife with Devin Thomas' damascus.

She's a real beauty, isn't she?

STAG RAINDROP DAMASCUS TRAPPERLOCK

It says it's sceduled for Oct/Nov delivery.

If I like the design,I plan on getting a CHESTNUT BONE TRAPPERLOCK CV.Mainly for a user.I'll still carry the Dam/Stag for dressy occasions though.

Anybody know the blade length on these?It says 4.5" closed,so I'm assuming it's got a 3.25"-3.5" blade.

Great Looking knife, I have been wanting a Trapper lock also but havent pulled the trigger yet. I love the look of Stag and Damascus together.

Very nice. Good stag and Damascus make a nice combo! I have the chesnut bone Trapperlock and I really like it, make a great user with the CV steel and all. You'll like them both i'm sure.

One Case a month........ I don't think I could do it.:D

I'll post the blade leanth in a while if no else does.

The combination of stag and raindrop pattern is really striking. Congratulations on that one.

The Trapperlock blade is 3.25 inches from bolster to blade tip (same as the regular Trapper).

Thanks for the blade length answer ,mdauben

I mailed them the check yesterday, now just the hard part......the waiting

That's one of the reasons I haven't delved into the custom knife world.I couldn't imagine waiting months,or even years for a knife.
Patience is not one of my strong points.:o

I also bought one of their displays cases,to display my slipjoints in a proper way.

Right now,I just have them wrapped up in a rubberband.:foot::o

Quick question, was she sharp out of the box?
Jim

:thumbup:Yup! Nice ,even grinds on this one.

[edited] There were some burrs on it.Took less than 5min on the sharpmaker to get her shaving sharp.

I love that knife! It would look great with my Congress and Large Toothpick.
Pretty stag.
