Hello everyone...

A couple days ago I fixed my mother-in-laws car and she gave me her late husbands Case knife as a "thank-you"....I told her she didn't have to but she insisted...Anyways....

After research I found out its a 1972 Jack pattern knife with brown bone handles,,3-1/4 closed...Has a master clip blade and a secondary pen blade...The very edge of the tip is broken on the master clip blade and I was thinking about sending it in to Case for repair...

Has anyone ever dealt with case repair/warranty...Thanks

Case will take care of you. It might take a while; the last I heard, the turnaround is around 6 weeks.

If I were in your position, I'd just leave it as is. Repair, service aside, I'd keep it as a reminder of where it came from. I have lots of my Grandfather's and Stepfather's knives, both deceased. Other than cleaning them to stop the rust, I've left all of them as is.
You can buy most Case models as new, and all are pretty affordable, if you really want that model.

Hey, it's just my own opinion and experience, you do what you want. Enjoy the knife either way.

Also, most "vintage" Cases are easily findable in new condition on eBay. It shouldn't be too hard or expensive to find a duplicate to carry instead, and by that way you preserve both the original knife and the tradition of carrying it.
