Hey all. So I almost won this knife off the big auction site...but didn’t. I am curious to know what pattern it is. It appears similar to a 62087, but the smaller blade is in front (on the mark side) and is a modified pen/spey? Anyhow I only have the one pic which I screenshot when the auction was running. Wondering if anyone can help me ID it, as I like it. 9B55A8E0-9808-45F6-A336-DB0A8920AF80.jpeg

Looks like an modded 18 pattern to me, especially with the nail nick access cutout. The bolsters don’t look like an 87 pattern to my eye. Appears the modder removed the Sheepfoot, took the Spey from the other end and used it next to the main (moved to back) to create a jackknife and cut in the nail nick cutout to access the Spey. OH
Ps. That handle material doesn’t look like anything Case offered in 1970 (look at the dot pattern on the Clip main, appears to be a ten dot).

Thanx folks. The eBay description was kinda vague, and no pic of the pile side tang stamp. I guess it’s a modded 18 - I sure did like the cover material tho.

I've had a couple of these in black Delrin. The Delrin cracked badly on both at the front pin. Maybe a previous owner replaced the scales.

Correction: Mine were pattern 22087.

Kinda looks like a 62027 if it had been in bone, but the nail nick is on the wrong side of the spey blade and the secondary should be a pen. Guessing the spey was donated from another knife.

Since Case started stamping pattern numbers on blades around 1950, at least one of the blades in any of them should show the pattern number. If the two blades shown don't have it, that's a strong clue another blade has been removed or swapped out. Likely a reworked stockman or a 2-blade jack with a blade swap.

The date stamp on this knife looks like 1970s era, so it should've had a pattern-stamped blade as well.

Edited to add:
Also, the E.O. notch might be another indication of a mod. Perhaps the covers also. I don't recall if Case ever included the E.O. notch on patterns already mentioned as possibles in this thread ('18 or '087).
