Getting ready to send in three knives to Case for some repair work -- a new CV Sodbuster, a discontinued yellow CV 4-blade Congress, and a white bone/blue dot tiny toothpick. I've read some stories concerning their customer service and response to different issues. I'll let you know how it goes...

Any personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I had a really bad time with them. I sent a knife in to have a blade replaced and they reassembled my knife wrong. Not sure how the hell that happened, but they did not do a good job. Extremely long turnaround too.

They also demonstrated a completely lack of sharpening skill. Very inconsistent bevels and dull edges.

Man, I've read good and bad. I sure hope my experience turns out better. To be honest, the first thing I do when I get a knife anyway is to put my own edge on it. The Congress was a gift, so I really don't want that one messed up. The Sodbuster I bought for an EDC "beater". I found the toothpick in the street while running one day and gave it to my daughter. I just really have a thing for Case knives. I've had a few throughout the years, and I generally like their construction and their ease of carrying. I also have a few specialty knives like tacticals and the like, but I guess I prefer the traditional pocket knives. I guess I'll just wait and see how it turns out. I'll just carry my SAK until I get them back.

I've only dealt with them a couple times, but they were great... There was not really anything wrong with the knives, other that they both had pin show, and it drove me nuts :D
What are the issues with your knives ?

The Sodbuster has extreme blade play (wobble) and the blade isn't centered within the liner. In fact, it's almost rubbing toward the tip. The Congress has a crack in the scales under the middle grass pin. The toothpick has a slightly bent blade. I was originally just going to send in the Sodbuster, but I figured I might as well send them all.

I've had great experience with them. I sent in a couple for various things and got them back quicker than their stated timeline. Just make sure you put a note in there saying what you want done.

They had a form on their repair website that I filled out. Just sent them USPS Priority (so I could track them). Wrapped them with paper towels, put them in a bubble envelope, and included the forms. Hoping for good results.

I am curious to know your experience once you get your knives back. I have a couple I'd like to send in as well.
