Hello, new here from Tennessee. I have a Case XX bone handled "Copper Head" knife (#624) that belonged to my wife's grandfather. The blades are worn down to half their original size ore more. We were wondering if anyone here does knife blade replacement? The knife looks great otherwise. Thanks so much for your help.

Reach out to case directly. This is going back a number of years but they were really helpful. Just look up wr case and sons contact info

I sent in a knife from the late 70s and they said they couldn't do anything as they don't have parts. Unless it's a recent knife, Case probably won't be able to help. Why do you want new blades on it?

Welcome to the forum. There is a sub-forum for traditional knives like your grandfather's Case where there are many knowledgeable people who can assist you.

You might also consider leaving this knife in the condition that your grandfather left it. He put a lot of himself into the work that wore those blades.

Wow, Thanks everyone for your input! You've been great and in just a few minutes. What a great group of guys! One reason, safty. The cutting edge on the small blade sits above the handle when closed. It has been worn down that much. However, I understand very much the idea lwaving it as is. He certianly used it a Lot. I will give it some thought.

Personally I would clean it gently oil it and drop it in my pocket. Anything added loses personal value that cannot be replaced
