Case knife

In one of my books from 1984 that knife is listed. I believe it would be the CV steel and not stainless but cannot be certain.

It says black plastic handle, blade variation chrome plated, and that it was valued at $16 in 1984. Apparrently they started making that model in 1972.

My hunting buddy has one just like the one in the pic. It was his fathers, who I believe bought it in the late 70's or early 80's. The style is very similar to that of some of the Buck models, the knife in the pic looks almost like a Pathfinder model, the sheath also looked like a Buck sheath, before he lost it. Not sure how he lost the sheath and not the knife. My buddies knife is stainless, not CV, and when its used to butcher deer, it seems to hold its edge pretty good. I'm not sure of any collector value if its a used knife, but from what I've seen, it makes a decent user.

Funny you say that because my knife does not have a sheath for it either. I Got this knife from my cousin when I was younger because it looked like the Buck pathfinder. He lost the sheath for this knife also. I guess Its a common thing to lose sheaths, But I dont see how someone can lose a sheath and not the knife. Thanks you guys for the help. John
