Happy 4th Everyone! This is my first post - I hope I'm doing this right

I have a "collectors case" made by case knives and I'm having trouble finding information on it. I can't seem to find another set to find out more about it. Ive included all the model numbers & some photos of the set, so if anyone has any information I would appreciate it! I have an extra blade in there, "hammerhead" that didn't come with the set but figured it somewhat went along

The ones with the red letters are from set made in 1978. All three of the “Shark” knives did not come with the set, and they were made in the 1980s, from the pictures. Nice looking pieces for sure.

Welocome to the porch, (this forums nickname) unfortunately your pics aren't working. I use tinypic, but others can probably tell you a better option. Hopefully you can get your pics figured out soon, would love to see them. The traditionals forum is a really great forum. Many helpful and knowledgeable people, very friendly to.

The pictures are showing now, at least for me. I can’t give you any additional information on your new acquisition, but it is a nice set!

Welcome to the forum!

I really like your set. I am a newbie knife collector and I bought a set similar to yours a couple of months ago at a gun and knife show. I think of it as my "instant" knife collection. Yours is a little older than mine though, mine is from 1981. I love the stag on those knives. I believe that the lining of you case has been changed. All the others I have seen are blue like mine is. When the lining gets faded or torn, it is easy to replace. BTW, I see the wood case alone being sold on eBay for $75-150. One of the things that I like about my set is that all the knives have scrolled bolsters. Here is a picture of my set. I need to take some better pictures.

The red lining is correct. Back around 2003 Shepard Hills had some of those red lined cases for sale and I had one for a while. I'm not sure what knives go to what set, but it looks like you have a mix of two different collections.

Great info guys - thanks for all the help.
This case used to have the blue felt - I had the lining redone as it was showing it’s age. I managed to track down info on the set & the 7 smaller folders came in the set like oldtymer said.

I’ve had the set for 5 years & my family bought the set new. I’m actually considering parting with them, they’ve been living in the closet untouched & I’ve my interests have somewhat shifted towards firearms

I'm sure there are collectors that would snap them up but do you really want to sell them considering they belonged to a family member?
Some things in life are not replaceable.
